Kangaroo Jumping on the Bed - 8 Dec. 2025
I've determined that I'm going to try and learn as many random small skills as I can through my mission. I have currently improved my shuffling massively. Now I am learning how to whistle loud with my fingers. I'll let you know how it goes.
This week was so fun, it was transfer week and my companion left Monday so I was just with Elder Phelps and Elder Blaser as a trio and it was very fun. We found a ton of snail eggs in a flooded field and had fun with the physics of them.
My new companion is named Elder Baker coming from Sydney, Australia. He's awesome, very hard working, we are going to have a great time.
Elder Blaser gave me a haircut which looks pretty chill but is probably against mission standards. All is well though cause he's going to cut me up again.
There was a farewell party for a sister in our district after 4 baptisms and so it was chill.
Today we did some basketball and freaking practiced a dance that we are doing for Christmas conference.
The following is an Q&A I did with Elena:
What do you eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner?
We eat rice and eggs for breakfast.
Rice, Eggs, and sausage/hotdogs for lunch.
Rice and Chicken for Dinner.
Who have you been talking to this week (investigators)?
Gina, Sister Marianne, Adgardo.
Who is Gina?
She is 60 years old. Lives in the countryside. She has a lot of questions about the church. Last time we talked to her about Joseph Smith. She came to church and got very confused about the D&C that was discussed. "Becoming Gods" was discussed, which naturally threw her for a bit of a loop.
Who is Sister Marianne?
She is 45. She was invited to be baptized but said no. Same with Gina. She has more questions, more she wants to know. Similarly not sure yet.
Adgardo is a recent referral we got. We just barely contacted him for the first time. He has a very strong family member base so we think he will get baptized. Even if we are crappy missionaries his family is fricken' goated.
What's the most beautiful thing you saw this week?
We saw the sunset over the ocean this week and it was freaking beautiful. It was in Damortis.
What's the funniest thing that happened all week?
Elder Blaser cut my hair.
Why is this funny to you?
Because I have a freakin' mohawk now. He gave me a skin fade.
Other funny things:
Throwing snail eggs at the whale and slo-mo videoing it.
Elder Baker shocking himself on a fly swatter.
Cool, so basically that's all for this week. Tagalog makes my nose bleed and we at war with rats and cockroaches. Anyways that's all.
Elder Shill
