Baptisms and Baptism - 24 Nov. 2025




Sorry for no email last week. I was a little bit exhausted when p-day came around, but I will write a quick one this week cause I had some cool stuff happen. So here's a quick summary. Basically, we had joint DCM, which was just a blast, we just talked about numbers the whole time.

We just worked and everything was normal. 

But then this week I had the opportunity to go to the temple and I baptized Elder Chinoparequa for his dad which was really an amazing experience. The spirit was so strong, it was insane-- just another confirmation that the gospel is true.

Then that Saturday or rather last Saturday, we had a baptism for a sister, Jenny Rose, which was just awesome. She has a very strong testimony and is ready to be a member.

Now this week we will baptize Tatay Israel which I'm very excited about. The first set of missionaries to come to him was in 2006, which is crazy, cause I wasn't even alive yet. 

Last p-day we went to Antong falls as a district which was so amazingly beautiful and made me want to cliff jump so bad but none of that.

This p-day we went to the chapel in Agoo and played spike ball. It was weird playing with Thatcher, it just felt like I was in Utah again. I kinda trip out every once in a while and think about home when me and him chat. It feels oddly far and close at the same time. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

There really wasn't too many other interesting events that happened other than that though, so ya. My comp has 6 days left and then he is done with the mission which is crazy, hoping my next companion is relatively normal and hardworking. God knows best though so we'll see...

What a week. We spent a lot of time walking around the Bukid and Bundock or farms and mountains. I think my butt its getting bigger or my pants are getting smaller cause I'm starting to get a little claustrophobic in those things, but its ok. That's why we have Ukay-Ukay, aka thrifting.  This week was chill, we had a lot of teachings and eleven new friends. We are working hard because my comp doesn't want to close out his mission trunky so we are locked in. As for fun things that happened this week: we held a lot of goats and chickens. It was a blast-- you can literally run up to a baby goat and just pick one up and a majority of the time they are just like, "Oh hi, how are you doing?" It's a blast. Today though we went to San Fernando and we had been off the bus for like 2 minutes when some dude came up to us and asked, "Are you guys missionaries?" Well hello there my fellow people, I hope that you are well and the sun has been shining in your life. If not, I hope that I can help provide a little sunshine or smile for you. These past two weeks have been interesting, that's for sure-- I've learned a lot about what I want to become, and what I want my mission to look like.  I had the opportunity to do exchanges with Elder Jessop, he was our formal AP for 10 months and he's in his last few transfers.  This experience was amazing, I have found it hard to explain the things that I learned to Elder Baker and Blaser. The largest thing though that really changed for me is numbers. I think I was just kinda like the rest of everyone around me, I didn’t like them but I "understood" why we have them. Then I had this exchange and I really learned why numbers are there. How many rolls is it socially acceptable to take at one time? - 6 Oct 2025

Kumusta po (hello, how are you doing) everyone? Sorry for wala (no) email last week, I was busy and really just didn't feel like writing one by the time that I was able to, so I'll cover what happened in this email. I've had the chance to try some crazy foods while I've been here. Its kinda wild but I've been enjoying it. I've eaten everything from chicken feet to some mango jello cream stuff. I can also say with full confidence that I have tried literally almost every part of the chicken aside from the head and it all tastes the exact same, the only thing that is different is the texture. So you might be a little curious about the title. Basically, the rolls here are the best thing I have ever had (sorry Bella they might top your bread.) These things are amazing. I'm averaging about 16 of them a day and if they served them at breakfast, I would probably be averaging 24 because they are so heavenly-- I don't know what they are putting into those things. ...
