Yung Bukid and Kidnapping goats - 3 Nov. 2025
What a week. We spent a lot of time walking around the Bukid and Bundock or farms and mountains. I think my butt its getting bigger or my pants are getting smaller cause I'm starting to get a little claustrophobic in those things, but its ok. That's why we have Ukay-Ukay, aka thrifting.
This week was chill, we had a lot of teachings and eleven new friends. We are working hard because my comp doesn't want to close out his mission trunky so we are locked in.
As for fun things that happened this week: we held a lot of goats and chickens. It was a blast-- you can literally run up to a baby goat and just pick one up and a majority of the time they are just like, "Oh hi, how are you doing?" It's a blast.
Today though we went to San Fernando and we had been off the bus for like 2 minutes when some dude came up to us and asked, "Are you guys missionaries?" My comp forgot his tag, but luckily I had mine cause he was like, "What does your church believe?" My comp listed out what we believe quick cause we were in a hurry and luckily I brought a Aklat ni Mormon with me even though we were leaving our area and not in proselytizing clothes. So we gave him that after like a 5 minute conversation, it was sick.
Thatcher finally got the first kill (of a rat). Which was very nice. I put the video of the dead rat in my album: watch at your own discretion. If you have any ideas on better ways to kill them than a slingshot let me know (rat traps are not a better way).
Besides that, we have three people on baptism, 2 of which will for sure be baptized and one who isn't progressing a ton, but all is well. The work is awesome. Jesus is ang kambing (the GOAT) and He knows you and me.
Peace,
Elder Shill
